Collateral

I’m no stranger to collateral: For the past eight years I’ve been the lead on everything from posters to trifold brochures to catalogs.

Invitation - Anchorage Museum

Project lead for marketing Lights Out, the museum's fall fundraiser in 2013. Our goal was to sell 400 tickets: We sold double.

Invitation - Anchorage Museum

Project lead on collateral needs for the museum's annual gala, which typically included a formal, mailed invitation with RSVP card, return envelope, the whole package. The year our gala theme was related to the environment, I felt like using that much paper for the invitation worked against the cause. I found a vendor in the Lower 48 who could print our signature exhibition image onto seed paper. We encouraged our guests to plant the invitation in soil and let it grow into wildflowers.

Annual report - Anchorage Museum

Project lead on the museum's first annual report in organization history. Responsibilities included project management, budgeting, research, majority of writing, majority of copy editing, graphic design input, approval coordination and printer coordination.

Membership brochure - Anchorage Museum

Project lead on reinventing the museum's membership brochure. Users complained the former brochure was too difficult to understand, particularly which benefits corresponded with which prices. By researching best practices and collaborating with a graphic designer, we were able to build a chart that was much clearer. Responsibilities included project management, budgeting, research, writing, copy editing, graphic design input, approval coordination and printer coordination.
